2 cans pie filling*

1 box cake mix*

1 can soda*

Fresh fruit, optional
DIRECTIONS
Spread pie filling evenly in the bottom of a 10- or 12-inch Dutch oven. Add additional fresh fruit if desired (or substitute one can of the pie filling for three cups of fresh fruit).
Sprinkle cake mix evenly over the top of the pie filling. Pour can of soda over the top of the cake mix. Do not mix.
Place over eight to 10 heated briquettes and cover. Place 10 to 15 heated briquettes on the lid.
Cobbler is done when top is nicely browned. Cooking time is 45 to 55 minutes, depending on weather conditions.
Serve with ice cream or whip cream if desired.
