To say Dustin Richter had a catch of a lifetime would be an understatement. That's because the Florida man, joined by four of his friends, reeled in a sawshark — listed as "critically endangered" by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
According to WPTV, the catch came on May 25 while Richter and his friends were fishing on the Boynton Beach Inlet in Florida and took an hour before it was reeled in and then released.
Richter told WPTV: '"Oh my God. It's a saw shark.' That's the first thing I thought, the rarest species of all. We've never even seen one in person, pictures or anything."
