Chasing shallow-water smallmouth is one of my favorite types of fishing.
As August makes an appearance, the fishing action — much like the water temperature — continues to be hot here in Ontario. A day on the water yesterday had me scouring the lake for largemouth bass. Did I find any? I sure did!
Years ago when a person wanted to teach kids to fish, they cut a switch off a tree, whittled off the nubs, tied a string and hook on the end, dug worms, and away they went.
