Excited About the 2013 NASCAR Season!
Watch last year's Camping World Truck Series Rookie of the Year, Ty Dillon, driver of the #3 Bass Pro Shops / Tracker Boats Chevy truck and the #14 Bass Pro Shops / Mobile 1 Chevrolet driven by racing legend and three time NASCAR Spring Cup Champion Tony Stewart.
The 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series racing season gets underway this Sunday, February 24th with the 55th running of the circuit's most prestigious race - the Daytona 500-at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. As the primary sponsor of the Stewart-Haas Racing #14 Chevrolet driven by 3-time Spring Cup Champion Tony Stewart in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Bass Pro Shops is, to say the least, very excited.
Stewart became a part of the Bass Pro Shops Sportsman's Racing Team in 1999. The company has also sponsored Tony in his late model stock car in the Prelude to the Dream Charity Race held at Tony's Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH for the past several years. In addition, Bass Pro Shops sponsored Tony's race team in the World of Outlaws sprint car series.
Stewart, a winner of 47 Spring Cup races and a competitor in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Chase for eight times in his career, is also an avid outdoorsman and conservationist. Every year, he hosts a special Catch-A-Dream Foundation hunt on his Indiana farm and he and Johnny Morris together take kids with life-threatening illnesses out deer hunting. Bass Pro Shops and the Tony Stewart Foundation have contributed over $1 million dollars to the Victory Junction Gang Camp.
Bass Pro Shops relationship with NASCAR began in 1998 when Morris sponsored the legendary Dale Earnhardt in the Winston All-Star Race at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte. Most recently, the popular outdoors company was a sponsor to Earnhardt Ganassi's Jamie McMurray, who in 2010, drove the Bass Pro Shops car to victory at the Daytona 500, the Brickyard 400 and the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Bass Pro Shops also continues their sponsorship with Richard Childress Racing and Ty Dillon in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
