The Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s CLUB is no stranger to hunting longbeards. In fact, we hunt many varieties of turkey, calling in gobblers from Montana to the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. There are six subspecies of wild turkey distributed across North America—Eastern, Rio Grande, Osceola, Merriam’s, Gould’s, and Ocellated.
Whether you’re after your first turkey or are trying to round out your World Turkey Slam, we’d love to hunt with you. The CLUB offers a Signature Outdoor Adventure for every turkey hunter.
Your best bet for the Osceola lies surrounding the Everglades of Florida. The Club has you covered.
The Rio Grande inhabits the rolling hills and live oaks of Texas. The turkey woods of the eastern half of the United States were named for the magnificent Eastern turkeys that inhabit them. For the Merriam’s you will head to natural wonders of places New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Montana.

For the Gould’s you’ll head to a strip of the interior of Mexico or a small area in southern Arizona. The stronghold of the tropical Ocellated turkey—a magnificent bird that appears as closely akin to the peacock as its northern relatives—lies in Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula. Yes, the CLUB can get you on an ocellated turkey, too.
