Bird Watching

Wildlife photography is a passion of mine, and although it is hard to narrow down a favorite subject to capture on film, the common loon certainly holds a special place in my heart.

With their striking colors, predicable behavior attributes, and penchant for taxiing newborn chicks on their back, the common loon is worthy of some photo time while out on the water this summer.

It's not hard to pick up the movement of birds in one's field of vision. Especially larger birds like hawks or birds with a color such as a white egret.

Fall migration is underway and this means that you may have some unusual birds visiting your feeders as they pass through on their way south. You may also start seeing a changeover in your regular feeder visitors. Some birds may visit your feeders more in the winter than they do in the summer.
