Mudpuppy had three days out of school this week so we set up a little trap line for him.

In a quick hurry, we went in yesterday and slammed in 13 quick sets. Had this little feller waiting for us this morning.

We hope to do better tomorrow.

I must say sir, you are good at what you do. Enjoying this forum and your contributions. Very interesting.

Trapping isn't as popular in S. FL, but we do have our share of coons terrorizing our trash cans.

We didn't do too bad on our three day line. We had 2 nights with a dozen quick sets and came out with four coons and a possum.

Being as how the possum was just a baby, we patted it on it's head and set it free. We'll go back in there again next season and catch him again when he's got some size to him. ;)

I guess trapping may not be as popular down there in Florida because of the warmer weather. Furs may not get prime due to the round the calendar heat. I would love to do some trapping down there. I bet we could pile up the Nutria.
