I stared pouring plastic baits over ten years ago - mostly using molds I bought or made myself. By accident I found a way to make a soft plastic minnow or grub that far outproduces most small lures on the market.

Used on a light jig, I can catch just about anything that swims - including an 18 pound carp (ugh!). Made in larger sizes, I can use the design with a weedless jig, swimbait hook, off set worm hook or Octopus hook for drop shot rigs. Here are a few fish caught, spring to fall and even under the ice:

The coolest thing is a don't need a mold and shape and length are at my discretion!

The action is what catches fish, but in any case, my color selection is huge; and if I run out of a color, I just open
up another CD case with other colors.

no mold? what do you do, use heat on old plastics? looks kinda like smashing/stretching pieces of worms or other old baits. Pretty cool concept.

I use a microwave oven to heat plastic.

Good Productive way to pass the hard water time! I moved to California , that did it for me. Hey is the front end of one of those baits from A Berkley Havoc Grass Pig?
It's fishing, if it gets more involved than that, I will take up napping
